The Zedman Award for Video is given out each year to producers, talent, and other creatives behind online, broadcast, and direct presentation video. This includes branded content, public service messages, event material, and location-specific presentations. We honor exemplary work in production, direction, cinematography, graphics, writing, and editing. The Zedman Awards honor creative content made by professionals in their fields. The video awards are specifically for motion content presented online as well as directly at events or distributed via television and other means. It provides tangible recognition of imaginative work.
Overseen by the Society for Creative Professionals, each entry is judged on its own merit based on the standards set by the awards committee each year. There are multiple categories of entry grouped by the style, subject matter, or production element.
Judges are professionals in the field of video and include award-winning advertising agency producers or copywriters; marketing managers; commercial, television, or film directors and producers; and website creatives.
There are gold, silver, and copper awards in each category. Gold and silver recipients are eligible to purchase a trophy, or plaque. Copper winners may get a plaque.
All recipients receive a certificate.
Additionally, you can use graphics to promote your recognition on your website or in other media or publications.
A share of the proceeds from each round of awards is given to selected 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organizations.

A group and category must be chosen for each entry. The same video can be entered more than once into different categories.
There are three primary groupings of awards:
Genre / Style Role / Element Subject / Client
Videos must be eight minutes long or less. If the language used is important, it must be in English.
Judges experienced in the range of content creation skills review entries. Each video is rated on its own merits and not in comparison to others. This means there are no fixed number of winners in any category. In some rounds, no one may secure Gold or Silver in a category while in another group, more than one video may receive the same recognition level.
Consideration is given to the resources available to a production. Funny is funny, emotional is emotional. A video made with a modest budget and local talent can be as effective as an expensive prime-time network spot. We aim to honor excellence at every level and appreciate that regional content may not have the same means as a national company -- from internally produced media up to major agency campaigns.
Each award season has its own deadline. The round you enter will be determined by the date on which your entry is received.
